This Privacy Policy explains how betterbusiness GmbH ("Get Solar Quotes," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use getsolarquotes.com and related services (the "Service").

The short version: We collect the information you enter in our quote form so we can connect you with up to four solar companies. We share your information with those companies so they can contact you with quotes. We use standard analytics and lead-verification tools. 1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

Contact details: first and last name, email address, phone number
Property details: home address, ZIP code, ownership status, roof type and condition, shading, number of stories
Energy details: average monthly electric bill range, utility provider, interest in battery storage
Project details: project type, timeline, approximate credit range, number of quotes requested
Any information you provide when contacting support or uploading documents (e.g., a utility bill)

Information collected automatically:

Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interactions with the quote form (including timestamps of your answers)
Campaign data: advertising identifiers and campaign parameters (e.g., UTM parameters, click IDs such as gclid)
Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6)

Consent and verification records: We use third-party lead-verification services (such as ActiveProspect TrustedForm and Jornaya LeadiD) to create an independent record of your visit and consent, including a snapshot of the form you completed, the consent language displayed, and the time of submission. We may also verify your phone number via a one-time code sent by SMS.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Match you with up to four solar companies in your area and transmit your request to them
Generate estimates and personalize the results shown to you
Send you your quote comparison and related service communications by email or SMS
Verify your identity and phone number and document your consent
Operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Service
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use
With your consent, send you marketing communications about related home and energy services

3. How We Share Your Information

Solar partners: When you submit a quote request, we share your contact, property, and energy information with up to four solar companies so they can contact you with quotes. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. Our current network is listed on our Partner List.
Service providers: Vendors that host our platform, deliver SMS codes, verify leads and consent, provide analytics, and support customer service — bound by contract to use your data only to provide services to us.
Marketing partners: If you have provided the required consent, we may share your information with additional marketing partners identified at the point of consent.
Corporate transactions: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Legal: Where required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell your information to unaffiliated data brokers for purposes unrelated to your quote request. California residents have specific rights regarding "sale" and "sharing" as defined by California law — see the California Privacy Notice.

4. Telephone and Text Communications

If you provide your phone number and the consent described on the form, Get Solar Quotes and up to four solar companies may call or text you about your request, including through automated technology and prerecorded, artificial, or AI-generated voice or SMS, even if your number is on a Do-Not-Call list. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Opting out: Reply STOP to any text to stop texts from that sender; ask to be placed on the internal do-not-call list during any call; or contact us at info@betterbusiness.com to revoke consent to be contacted by us. 5. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your personal information
Opt out of targeted advertising and, where applicable, the sale or sharing of personal information
Receive a copy of your information in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email info@betterbusiness.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will verify your identity before responding and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorization.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, lead verification, and advertising measurement (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking). You can control cookies through your browser settings. Opting out of non-essential cookies may limit some features. We honor opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by law.

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, document consent (consent records are retained for the period required by applicable law), comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
